Soft Asset Finance

Not every business asset is a vehicle or machine. Soft Asset Finance lets you spread the cost of IT, office equipment, fit-outs and more — the things that keep your business running day to day.

What is Soft Asset Finance?

A soft asset is any equipment that is important to the running of your business but has little or no resale value at the end of a finance agreement. Traditional lenders sometimes hesitate on these, preferring high-value tangible assets like vehicles or heavy machinery.

We work with a broad panel of lenders who are comfortable with soft assets, both tangible (physical items like furniture) and intangible (like software licences or systems). This gives Scottish businesses access to finance for the full range of assets they actually need.

If you have already purchased the asset within the last three months and have proof of purchase, sale and leaseback options are also available, meaning you can refinance something you have already paid for and recover the capital.
