Mackenzie Commercial Finance is an asset finance broker, not a lender. From our office in Scotland, we arrange asset finance, asset refinance, hire purchase, finance lease and business loans. We work with businesses in the Highlands and Islands, across Scotland and the whole UK.
We work with over 120 lenders. We are a member of the NACFB, the trade body for commercial finance brokers. Our FCA number is 1058283. You can check it on the FCA register. We started trading at the end of July 2026.
Our roots are in the Highlands. Our Business Development team meets people in person, across the Highlands and the rest of Scotland. They meet businesses, suppliers and introducers (people like accountants who send clients to us).

Daily flights from the Highlands reach the main UK cities. So we can be in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow or Stornoway at short notice. That might be when a lender wants a signature in ink, or an asset needs a check.

A broker finds the lender for you. A lender lends its own money. We are a broker, not a lender. We look at your case and send it to the lenders that suit it.
Over 120. They include names most businesses know, like Lloyds Bank, HSBC and Lombard (part of NatWest). They also include well known specialist lenders, like Haydock, Simply and Close Brothers.
Applying to us is not a credit search. If you go ahead, we do a light credit check on the company, often known as a soft search. Each lender then has its own way. We can ask a lender first if this worries you.
There is no fee to apply. The lender pays us a commission, only once your finance is in place. You see it before you sign.
Ask if they are on the FCA register. Ask how they are paid. Ask how many lenders they use. Ask who you will speak to.
Our clients run businesses from the Western Isles to London. Wherever yours is, we deal with you online and by phone. We fly from the Highlands when we need to be there.

He works with the lender's team who decide on your case and value the asset. He sees the finance documents through to the end. He has worked in banking and finance since 2008.

Alana leads our business development. She meets businesses at local and national networking events. She works with suppliers across the country, and with introducers such as accountants and solicitors. You will meet her at trade shows and auctions. She is a member of Highland Business Women.
